Over the weekend I went to a yummy food festival at a local farm shop. As well as the mass of tasty food they had all their pumpkins and gourds on display. I think subconsciously this made me think ceramics as I love the shapes they form and it makes me want to make some! Then of course this made me think of the ceramic artist Kate Malone who does amazing sculptural pieces with the most beautiful glazes. Having a mooch around the web to see what she's up to these days I found a really interesting video diary of her working on the new pieces for her up-coming show, so I thought I'd share!

Well I finally finished off the scarf I've been working on for ages and I'm very pleased with it. The yarn is lovely and it feels great on, really cosy and soft. It's made from Araucania Pehuen yarn which I'll definitely use again as it was lovely to work with for a noob like me. It's destined for a Christmas present though so it's safely tidied away for the moment. I've begun working on some very basic legwarmers and some fingerless gloves as my next winter projects, hopefully they'll go somewhat quicker now I've had more practice. Pics to follow when I've done enough to be worth looking at!

I haven't posted for a while as I've not finished anything I can share recently. I've got a few projects on the go that are to be Christmas presents so obviously don't want to spoil the surprise, and I'm making some cards this year too. I got a lovely Amy Butler fabric pack yesterday so I have plans to make a few thing with that. Time to get the sewing machine out!
