Nude Study Two

Another little ACEO of the female form. I'm still really enjoying doing these so there may be a few more yet! Again it's pencil on heavyweight smooth cartridge paper. I'd originally started it last week but then have been poorley for the last few days so only got it finished yesterday.

It's up on eBay here!

Life Study

A little pencil ACEO I've just finished. It was inspired by an exhibition of Pre-Raphaelite sketches I've just seen. I think it may turn into a series yet.

It's also up for sale on ebay here.

Finished Collage

Here's the finished piece involving the eye I'd drawn. Read into it what you will.

This is part of a piece I'm working on which will be a kind of a collage of images. I drew this in Painter with a Wacom tablet.

The Door

Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, where Alice peeks through the tiny door and sees a beautiful garden.

The Pen Collector

The Pen Collector

Ever wondered where all the pens in your house go? Well now you know. This is one of the Collector Imps from the Twilight Realms. This particular little guy has a fetish for pens and will aquire any you've left laying around to add to his collection!

ACEO size so 2.5" x 3.5" done on illustrators board using watercolours and watersoluble coloured pencils.

Oh and it's currently up for sale here.

The Goblin Queen

The Goblin Queen

I finally finished my big (well big for me) pencil piece I've been working on. I'm happy with the way it turned out in the end.

Pencil on Cartridge Paper.
Measures approximately 9.5" x 12".

This was one of those rare pictures I had how I wanted it to look in my head before anything else so I didn't do any preliminary sketches. When I was sketching her out her style made me think of the film Labyrinth so she became The Goblin Queen. I wanted a dark moonlight scene for the setting (some Anne Sudworth influence here I think) and I tried to make her frame quite small and delicate as I always think of Fae creatures as having Golum like proportions. I used some random photo reference for the figure.

Illustration Friday ~ Phoenix

This weeks illustration friday piece. The initial drawing was done in coloured pencil on smooth cartridge paper then scanned into Photoshop and manipulated. I've spent a bit more time on it than intended but still a fairly quick piece.

Kudos to Gracie aka Mynti from dA for the use of the fractal stock image. Thanks!
